Program Information

Education Goal
Participants will practice more effective diagnosis, treatment and prevention techniques leading to improved outcomes for Hispanics.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe strategies to overcome barriers to improving diabetes outcomes in the Hispanic population.
  2. Utilize current standards of care for the detection of diabetes and the monitoring of complications of diabetes in the Hispanic patient.
  3. Assess current treatment options to maximize glycemic control in order to minimize complications in the Hispanic population.

 

Target Audience
Primary Care physicians in the United States

 

Implementation
The estimated time for completion of this program is two hours. In order to get the greatest value from this program we recommend a four-step process:

  1. Read this manual, taking notes as necessary.
  2. Carefully read the test questions and select your answers.
  3. Return to the manual for a final review of your notes and finalize your test answers.
  4. Complete and submit the CME answer sheet and course evaluation via mail, fax or internet.

How to Obtain Continuing Education Credits
A certificate of completion will be awarded to physicians completing the program with a score of 70% or higher. In order to receive your continuing education credits, the answer sheet and course evaluation form located at the end of this program must be filled out completely and sent to TIV, Inc.:

A certificate of completion will be mailed within 7-10 working days after the receipt of the test and evaluation form. In the event you do not pass, you will be notified regarding a retake examination on the same concepts.
